Summary: Improve signage and the site of bike share kiosk to encourage awareness and use of the Bike Share program in Valentine, NE, USA
The Valentine Bike Share Program has bikes available for rent for community members and visitors use to travel around the community and to some of the local tourist attractions nearby. The goal of the project is to increase awareness of the program and encourage use of the share bikes by creating artistic signage to increase visibility and to improve and beautify the site of the kiosk, making it more inviting. We hope this will lead to more users enjoying the community and area attractions from and different perspective and in an environmentally friendly manner. Members will help design, create and install the signage, clean up and make improvements to the site, explore any rules and regulations that need to be observed as the kiosk is located near a highway, a state trail and private property. We will work on the project through the fall and winter and complete the project in Spring, 2025.

Reason for dropping: Club was unable to get the cooperation of the initial partners and this kept them from achieving their goal. They immediately submitted an alternate Grant# 5702, produced the proper documentation and it was approved and moved forward.
