Project Description Country: USA Location: Mineral Wells Total Budget: $4,990 Area of Focus: Maternal and child health Activity Type: Health: General Summary: Funding to the Center of Life, (Mineral Wells, TX) for children's food insecurity. The Rotary Club of Mineral Wells will be working with the Mineral Wells Center of Life, which is a 501(c)3, non-profit organization dedicated to helping, without discrimination, the people of Palo Pinto County, Texas. The Center of Life had identified 75-elementary school students last year and now doubled to 150 students having food insecurity and needing supplemental food for the year. The District Grant project funds will be spent on children in Palo Pinto County with food insecurities. With our Club's help we will be able to provide supplemental snacks, (at $5 per child x 150 students) which will cost around $750 per month to serve the children. Our grant funds should be able to last over 6+ months of the school year.
