THE GOAL OF THIS JOINT GRANT IS TO HELP VETERANS, POLICE & FIRE FIRST RESPONDERS, THOSE WITH DISABILITIES THAT SUFFER FROM PTSD OR MENTAL ILLNESES, HAVE EACH PERSON AND THEIR FAMILY MEMBERS TRAIN THEIR DOG TO BECOME A CETIFIED SERVICE DOG TO ASSIST THOSE WITH THEIR PERSONAL MEDICAL ILLNESS OR ISSUE. THIS ORGANIZATION IS A NONPROFIT THAT DOES NOT RECEIVE ANY FEDERAL OR STATE FUNDS TO HELP THOSE IN NEED. ROTARY INTERNATIONAL HAS STRESSED THAT MENTAL ILLNESS IS A FAST GROWING PROBLEM THAT ROTARIANS CAN HELP WITH. THIS IS OUR GOLA FOR OUR CLUB TO ASSIST THOSE THAT SUFFER GREATLY FROM DEPRESSION, PTSD AND OTHER MENTAL ILLNESSES.
