Project Description Country: Kenya Location: Machakos Total Budget: $1,000 Area of Focus: Community economic development Activity Type: Food/Agriculture: General Summary: Women from a new area will be selected, trained on better farming skills, provided with seedlings for planting. This is a collaboration grant between RC El Cajon Sunset, RC El Cajon and Community Change Advocate - a Nonprofit Organization (Kenya). The funds will be used to train women farmers on grafting plants, better farming skills and provide them with seedlings to practice and teach others their acquired knowledge thus improving food security and their individual residual income. This grant is an expansion into a new area of a similar successful grant project from last year.
