Project Description Region: Asia Country: Philippines Location: Kidapawan City Total Budget: $30,000 Areas of Focus: Disease prevention and treatment, Maternal and child health, Basic education and literacy The club through member rotarian Dr. Leomae Jalipa, aims to conduct new born screening for Kidapawan City, Municipalities of Makilala and Magpet within North Cotabato, Philippines, with estimated 2500 new born, with a cost 12 USD per child. Permanent hearing loss can significantly affect babies' development. Finding out early can give these babies a better chance of developing language, speech and communication skills.
