Providing clean Drinking Water to the Community in Rural Areas is the main concept of the project. Rotary Club of Calcutta has started this project PRANADHARA two years back with identifying the locations, water testing and installing of Water Filtration plants 1000/LPH in the rural villages of West Bengal collaborating with TATA SWATCH JAAL . Four (4) nos of such big water treatment plants have been installed in different rural areas of West Bengal where nearly 8000 villagers are getting drinking water per day, which has created an impact in community in development of overall health of the common people.
By implementation of this new project with installation of 15 nos of 1000 LPH and 6 nos of 500 LPH under Global Grant and further installation of TWENTY ONE such water Treatment Plants, the community will have an access to pure clean drinking water in their daily lives which will increase the overall health and hygiene of nearly 50000 people daily in rural areas of West Bengal.

Note: as of July 1, 2015 there is a 5% additional support fee for cash contributions. This fee does not appear in the financials above because it does not apply if the funds are sent directly to the project account (without going through TRF, and therefore without Paul Harris credit). Clubs sending their cash contribution to TRF must be aware they will have to send an additional 5%.
