Project Description Region: Asia Country: India Location: Thane Total Budget: $30,254 Area of Focus: Maternal and child health Global Grant to support the Mother & Child Health Program in collaboration with Sri Sathya Sai Sanjeevani Hospital and Rotary Club of Dombivli Midtown: ⸻ Global Grant Proposal Title: Mother & Child Health Program - Antenatal Care Support for Pregnant Mothers Implementing Partner: Sri Sathya Sai Health & Education Trust Rotary Partner: Rotary Club of Dombivli Midtown Location: Panvel Block, Raigad District, Maharashtra, India Project Period: July 2025 - June 2026 Total Project Cost: ₹2600000 (Approx. $3o254 USD) ⸻ Project Objective: To improve maternal and child health outcomes by providing comprehensive antenatal care (ANC) to 400 underserved pregnant mothers from rural and semi-urban areas. The project aligns with the UNICEF's First 1000 Days of Life framework to ensure safe pregnancy, healthy childbirth, and strong early childhood development. ⸻ Key Components of ANC Program: 1. Early Registration: ASHA/ANM mobilization ensures early tracking from 5 weeks of gestation. 2. Monthly ANC Check-ups: Obstetricians provide ongoing care at PHCs and Sai Sanjeevani Hospital. 3. Lab Investigations: Baseline diagnostics (CBC, RBS, TSH, HIV, HbsAg, VDRL, Blood Group). 4. Free Sonography: Includes Viability, NT, Anomaly, and Growth scans. 5. Nutritional Supplements: Iron, Folic Acid, Calcium, Vitamin D3, provided till post-natal stage. 6. Immunization: Tetanus shots per national guidelines. 7. Counseling Sessions: Diet, hygiene, regular follow-ups via audiovisual and MSW sessions. 8. Transport Facility: Free transportation for remote beneficiaries using hospital bus service. ⸻ Budget Breakdown (per pregnant mother - ₹6,500= $75.64): • Manpower: ₹3,900= $45.38 • Scans & Investigations: ₹1,600=$18.62 • Medicines: ₹600=$6.98 • Transport: ₹400=$4.65 Total for 400Mothers: ₹26,00,000=$30254.02 ⸻ Impact & Monitoring: • 9000+ mothers already served in last 5 years. • Program conducted at 3 PHCs & Sai Sanjeevani Kharghar Centre. • Rotary Club of Dombivli Midtown to visit ANC clinics and monitor progress. • Detailed data & impact reports to be shared regularly. ⸻ Execution & Disbursement: • Rotary Club to disburse funds to Sri Sathya Sai Health & Education Trust. • Sai Sanjeevani to execute program & share beneficiary data and reports. • Rotary branding at clinics and events will be ensured. ⸻ Together, we ensure a safe journey from motherhood to childhood.
